Biography:

Sam is from Westminster, MD, which is approximately an hour northwest of Baltimore. A passion for meteorology has been present within Sam for as long as he can remember, primarily taking interest in winter weather. Worth noting is that Sam is the owner of his own forecasting social media site on Instagram and Facebook, Leppo Meteorology. Outside of his meteorological passions, Sam takes great interest in taking care of his 30+ chickens and 6 ducks, reading, Ravens football, sunsets, country music, and his Greek heritage. He is absolutely ecstatic to start gathering data on tornadoes and severe weather that can contribute to saving lives in the future.

As a member of the TILTTING project, Sam will be an assistant lead to Ryan and Shane, focusing on more of a leadership and management role. When embarking on IOPs, he will be one of our two drivers, while also helping with forecasting and finding target zones.
